The Village Engineer's Office is responsible for all engineering work in the Village/Town of Mount Kisco. The Village's Consulting Engineer serves as a consultant to the Planning Board and oversees large Village capital projects for the Village. The Assistant Village Manager oversees all of the Village infrastructure (water, sewer, roadways, sidewalks, Village trees, street lights, traffic lights, municipal lots, etc.) as well as day-to-day engineering issues in the Village. The Engineer's Office is responsible for issuing permits for tree removal/alteration, street and sidewalk openings, excavation and fill, backflow prevention, and drainage work. The Engineer's Office also consults on applications for Building Department permits such as retaining walls and other matters of structural integrity.
